Telemedicine primarily focuses on providing remote medical care, digital health emphasizes engaging patients in their care. This can include tools like portals that allow patients to access their health information, track their progress, and communicate with their care team.

Approach to cytomegalovirus infection in perinatal medicine

The consequences of congenital CMV infection can vary, from mild symptoms to more serious complications, including neurosensory disorders such as deafness, vision problems, developmental delays, and other disabilities. Therefore, it is important to take preventive measures to prevent CMV infection in pregnant women, but also to prevent infection of the fetus when a pregnant woman is infected. Finally, it is important to carry out appropriate medical monitoring in the event of infection of the fetus and of the child born with congenital CMV infection.
